In my opinion, if you never heard of Hanz de Fuko, you almost certainly have bad hair. I say that because their products are so hyped and notorious, that you stumble upon this name every time you research something about male grooming and hairstyles.

 

I have been their loyal customer for quite some time, and it’s not about the popularity. I don’t believe in brands unless they truly deliver a good product. With Hanz de Fuko I did not have any disappointments so far. I’m not saying they are perfect, obviously, every individual has different hair and preferences, but they have managed to create really good formulas.

 

I have decided to tell you more about the last product in my collection, so here is my Hanz de Fuko Claymation review.

 

Consistency and smell

 

This, as the name says, is definitely a clay. It has a very thick, solid consistency and you have to rub it between your palms quite hard for it to become an emulsion. One of the best things about this brand is that they are environmentally friendly and they use organic, natural ingredients for their products. I have never had an outburst or bad reaction after using this brand. With Claymation, it also helps that it does not have any perfume or smell, so you never get that feeling that you’re putting chemicals on your hair.

 

Styling

 

As I said before, the consistency is quite hard. Before buying it I have read a Hanz de Fuko Claymation review that said it is impossible to apply. This is an exaggeration, to say the least! I guess the worst case scenario is having super fine hair, blow drying it before application and not warming the product enough. It never pulls during application and it covers the hairs evenly.

 

Hold

 

The hold is amazing, you can do any crazy style you want with this. Yes, it will depend on how long your hair is and how straight up you want it to be, but it’s truly effective. To achieve maximum hold, apply it on blow-dried hair and use more product than usual. Add it little by little, so you don’t get too much in your hair. You can also use it as a base product and finish off with a hairspray if you are ambitious.

 

Finish

 

The finish is semi-matte and gives you a really natural look. If you are a fan of old-school oily pomades, this is not the product for you. But it is perfect for achieving natural, modern styles. I would recommend it to anyone.
